Once you have created your own one-sheeter, have about 100 printed up.  They will come in handy for all sorts of things, from media introductions to local talks at the Chamber of Commerce.  But if your contact information changes, get NEW ones made.  Nothing is worse for a PIO than having old and incorrect contact information out there.  It says that you are not really interested.

 

Follow up your introductory letters about 2 months later by sending your new one-sheeter.  You may want to add a brief note to go with it, that's up to you.  Put the rest of your one-sheeters into your PIO go kit - you'll need them.
